PETER ZOMBOLA (HU)

Peter Zombola was born 2. March 1983 in Budapest. He studied composing at the Bela Bartok Conservatory in the class of Miklos Kocsar and Miklos Csemiczky. He attented the class of György Orban and Zoltan Jeney at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music from 2001. In 2006 he received degree with honours in composition. He also received degree in music theory. At the moment he is attending his PhD studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
In 2001 he achieved 2. place at the Bela Bartok Composition Contest, in 2003 he also received 2. place at the International Summer Composition Course in Austria. In 2004 2. place at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Composition Contest and 2. place at the Istvan Vantus Composition Contest in Szeged.
His choral works were presented in several countries of Europa, beside this, he likes to compose for choirs, chamber choirs and sometimes for Orchestras. His regular premiers take place at the Budapest Autumn Festival, Budapest Spring Festival, Music of Our Day, Budapest Music Weeks.
He has been teaching since 2004 at the University of Theater and Film.
