SARAH NEMTSOV (DE)
Her music is often shaped through consideration of other arts –
literature (Paul Celan, Edmond Jabès, Jacques Derrida, Emily Dickinson),
visual art, or choreography –, as well as of Jewish tradition.
SARAH NEMTSOV (* 1980 Oldenburg Germany) studied composition with Nigel
Osborne, Johannes Schoellhorn and Walter Zimmermann, as well as oboe Klaus
Becker and Burkhard Glaetzner. As a composer she is being scholarshiped by
the German Academic Foundation. In 2007 she won the Hans-Eisler-Preis for
composition. Her music is part of international festivals like the ICSM
World New Music Festival in Stuttgart, Musica in Stassbourg, the
Klangwerkstatt in Berlin, or A-Devantgarde in Munich. Sarah Nemtsov lives
in Berlin, her works are printed at the Edition Nova Vita.
